What to expect on your first visit:
Your name, age and contact details will be taken down over the phone.
There are no forms for you to fill in. Your Chiropractor will complete the information for you.

History: A thorough history of your complaint will be taken and your Chiropractor will guide you to ascertain the relevant details.

Examination: This consists of a series of joint, muscle and nerve tests to help determine the cause of your complaint. This includes: analysing your posture, assessing your movement and pinpointing the painful area. You remain clothed throughout (although it is useful if you do not wear tight or restrictive clothing). We have examination gowns you can wear if you prefer.

Findings: The findings of the examination will be explained clearly in non-medical terms as well as the amount of time it will likely take for you to recover.

Treatment/Referral: Treatment will usually begin on the first visit. However, if your condition is not suitable for Chiropractic care, then your Chiropractor will refer you on to the appropriate healthcare professional.

Advice: Advice on the application of ice or heat and the use of therapeutic exercises or stretches will be given at the end of each session. This will be tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
